Results are sent to you by post and are also accessible online at www.cim.co.uk/results

December results are posted on the last Friday in February.
June results are posted on the last Friday in August.

To ensure confidentiality, results are not given over the telephone or by email. Please remember to inform CIM of any changes of address and ensure that all payments have been made, as results will not be released if there are amounts outstanding.

Interpreting the results

There is no overall grade for a CAM qualification. For each module, marks are awarded in the following grades:

A - Distinction
B - Credit
C - Pass
D - Marginal fail
E - Fail
F - Poor fail
U - Unclassified

Disappointing results?

If you don't pass any of your assessments and gain a D-U grade, use this checklist for support and advice on what to do next.

  • Tutor support and revision opportunities: talk to your tutor if you were studying through a CIM accredited study centre for guidance as they may be offering revision sessions or you may be able to join a class just before the next exams
  • Free past papers: have a look at the sample answers and examiners reports on the Learning Zone website (don't forget you will need to log in)
  • Marketing resources: access the most comprehensive marketing portal, containing over thousands of market and company reports, top business journals and other reference material online. Visit www.cim.co.uk/resources
  • CIM feedback service: check out the details below on how you can access advice on how to improve your exam results next time around
  • Self-studiers: if you are a self- studier then visit www.cim.co.uk/qualifications to search for a study centre near you, which may be able to help with revision classes
  • Recommended reading: the list of recommended and core books for your syllabus can be found in your Study Guide booklet
  • Information and Library Services: as a CIM member, you have access to free advice and discounted reference material that could help you with your studies. For more information please go to www.cim.co.uk/resources
  • Rebooking your assessments: if you are ready to rebook your assessments for the next exam session, then please complete an 'Assessment entry form' and return it to CIM.

Appeals

Certificates

Certificates for completed qualifications are sent out approximately three months after the results are released.

(You may also obtain a certificate for any individual module you have passed. These are available on request for an additional fee of £25, but do not certify that you have completed a qualification.)

Replacement certificates can only be provided if CIM can authenticate the results. All replacement certificates have a printed date and are marked 'replacement'.

If you need to request a replacement certificate, please email qualifications@cim.co.uk or telephone +44 (0)1628 427120 to request the relevant form. Please complete and return this form to CIM. We will endeavour to dispatch your certificate within ten working days of your payment being processed.

Please note: there will be a charge of £25 to produce a replacement certificate.
